Hidden feelings...

 Why I Love My Mom...

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said,

I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches
for the next day's lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn
bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the
following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled
the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and
started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer,
put a load of clothes into the wash, ironed a shirt and
secured a loose button.

She picked up the game pieces left on the
table and put the telephone book back into the drawer.
She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a
towel to dry. She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.

She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to
the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip,
and pulled a textbook out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her
Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and
flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."
I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and
put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were
locked. She looked in on each of the kids and turned
out their bedside lamp, hung up a shirt, threw some
dirty socks in the hamper, and had a brief conversation
with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and
announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."
And he did.......without another thought.

 Just some mushy stuff...

The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident.

Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.

Journeys end in lovers' meeting, every wise man's son doth know.

What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork.

Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye.

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

The moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed.

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Where love is concerned, too much is not even enough.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Trouble is part of your life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the person who loves you a chance to love you enough.

From the moment it is touched, the heart cannot dry up.

If you have [love], you don't need to have anything else, and if you don't have it, it doesn't matter much what else you have.

Love's greatest gift is its ability to make everything it touches sacred.

Ok I guess that is enough for today...Not sure why I wanted to post these but I hope that they touch you like they have touched me.

 Manic Monday!!

Today, my almost 5 ry.old Anthony went on a school bus for the first time and he was sooooo excited that before the bus came he would keep asking ..."When is the bus going to get here?" He was jumping around and just could not stand still and the look on his face was AWESOME!!! I missed that with my first two boys and I swore that I would never miss it again!!! He will go to his ECAP program twice a week on Mondays and Tuesday from 9 - 2 and he could not be happier!!! It is a step before kindergarden and it will get him MORE ready for it than anything that I could do here at home and not to mention he will be with kids his age and not just around Mom and the baby!!! MY BABY IS GROWING UP!!

However, Maxine has something to say about Mondays....

Just gotta love Maxine!!!
